It was the turn of the Under 14's to get their Cup action under way as the first rounds of the Una Moore Joma Cup kicked off.
Crosshaven and St Marys played out a thriller at Camden with the visitors just shading it on a 3 - 4 scoreline.
Lakewood Athletic travelled to Midleton and came home with an emphatic win. First half goals from Eimear Kiely (2), Evelyn Daly (2), Sarah Lockhard and Lauren Homan meant a stroll for in the second half for the winners. Daly completed her hattrick in the second half to coast to the second round. Amy Lynch, Niamh O'Leary also impressed for the winners while despite the defeat, Kaitlin Ryan and Chloe Sigerson never gave up for Midleton.
Bandon also had a comfortable win away to Riverstown FC.
It was also another away win at Richmond, where visiting Kinsale just shaded it on a 1 - 2 scoreline. Kinsale's scores came from Sadhbh O'Leary and an unfortunate own goal.
On Sunday, in the Joma Under 18 Cup, Glounthaune United came back from being 0 - 2 down to win 2 - 4 at Park United. Charmaine Kiely got both Park goals as they went into a 2 - 0 lead but Emer Gilroy pulled one back for the visitors just before the break. Glounthaune piled on the pressure in the secod half and were rewarded with goals from Angie Carrie and a two from Leah Mahony. Park had excellent performances from Sarah Connelly, Aileen Meaney, Laura Murphy and Tara O'Gorman.
Chloe Ahearne was Glounthaune's star player and was well supported by Alannah O'Kelly Lynch and Amy O'Lehan.
